Nightlife Safety — Events, Clubs & After-Parties

Detty December nightlife is electric — but the energy is high and things move fast. • Know your venue before you go. Check the DropLocationNG listing for capacity, parking, and safety clearance. • Arrive before peak time (usually 11pm–1am) to avoid long queues and gate rushes. • Do not accept drinks from strangers. Buy your own and watch it being prepared. • Agree on a meeting point with your group in case you get separated. Phone signal can be weak in crowded venues. • Know where the exits are. Overcrowded venues with blocked exits are a real risk. • Pre-book your ride home BEFORE the event. Surge pricing after midnight is routinely 3–5x normal. • Never get into an unmarked vehicle or accept a ride from someone approaching you outside a venue. • Share your ride details — driver name, plate number — with a friend before getting in. • If staying in a group, leave together. Solo travel after 2am is not recommended.
